Jewelry Care
18K Gold Filled Jewelry Care:
Gold Filled jewelry should be cleaned periodically. Even if you’re sure your jewelry hasn’t been exposed to any substances like dirt, grime, perfume, sweat... it’s been in contact with your skin, which does perspire.
Wash jewelry with warm water and a soft cloth. Use a mild soap only if necessary. Getting junk out of nooks and crannies with an old, soft toothbrush is okay if done gently. If you need to, use toothpaste with no whitening agents or abrasives in it.
Be gentle and don’t rub too hard, doing so can take off some of the gold plating, revealing the metal underneath.
Make sure you allow your pieces to dry well before wearing. Pat them dry and lay them flat to dry.
Other jewelry can damage or scratch your jewelry. Store your pieces separately to extend their life in a soft jewelry bag. Keep dainty pieces separate from heavier pieces.
Can I shower, work out or swim with my jewelry?
Ideally, avoid this as much as possible to extend the life of your pieces. A couple times that this happens, is okay, but do not get in the habit. Remove rings before washing hands, or if you forget, make sure you dry them right away before putting them back on.
Stainless Steel Jewelry Care:
Keep your jewelry in a soft cloth jewelry bag when you're not wearing it.
As you wear your pieces, they will accumulate dust and grime. Keep jewelry in a soft cloth bag when not wearing it.
A good jewelry bag should protect the pieces from getting tangled and keep jewelry from moving around too much.
